

On the gondola ride this morning Geoffrey called my attention to a placard that related the history of the free gondola. The fact that I had failed to see this on previous rides attests to the fact that the company and conversation were engaging. Anyway, what jumped out for me was “Change the Game”. Marseille decided to change the typical game, or gondola business, by making this service both free and partially powered by solar energy.
We are doing nothing less. Together we will Change the Game in health care from one of accepting casualties to one of planned excellence. We already are through this experience and opening ourselves to each others viewpoints. I plan to keep this phrase running through my brain when I return home. It will be my ANCHOR!
After attending a conference in Snowbird, UT I knew there was going to be discomfort to push through upon arrival at Marseille due to the atitude. However, this trip had the added insult of that flight between Denver and Montrose! Talk about a one, two punch. I wanted to die last night. The shortness of breath is one thing but the intense headache is yet another. Oh, of course the time difference too. You might think 2 hours is nothing but by the end of the day, it hurts. I can only imagine what my face was showing yesterday and most of today. Talking hurt and talking is what we are here to do. So, accept my apologies.
