2018 Patient Safety Immersion Workshop to Kick Off March 27-30
Our inaugural Patient Safety Immersion Workshop exceeded the expectations of both attendees and faculty. This year will be our third year of offering Telluride Experience Sessions specifically designed for faculty directors and healthcare leaders. We will continue to build on the shared commitment of colleagues to make care safer, more patient-centered, and of the highest quality through patient safety education.
See what past attendees had to say:
I am so glad I attended this program…I am pleased with the content, as it was very different from others. It was engaging and informative!
This was wonderful! I was really surprised at the emotions elicited this week but it is such a deep hitting issue. I look forward to bringing ideas back to my program.
Physician leader attendee
Thanks so much for opening the program up to faculty development sessions!
Risk Manager attendee
It is because of the numerous requests we have received from so many committed healthcare professionals, that The Telluride Experience faculty has designed this 3-Day Patient Safety Immersion Program specifically for healthcare leaders!
Using a focused and personalized learning model, the limited number of meeting attendees work closely with faculty in an intimate, small group environment. Attendees leave with the knowledge, skills, tools and techniques necessary to educate and lead change at their home institutions. Equally as important, attendees become a member of the growing Telluride Experience Alumni Network.
Topics covered during The Telluride Experience Patient Safety Immersion include:
1. High Reliability
2. Disclosure and Rapid Remediation Models
3. Patient and Family Partnerships in Driving Safety & Quality
4. Human Factors Engineering
5. Transparency–Open, Honest Communication Skills
6. Fair and Just Culture
-Meet and network with nationally acclaimed patient safety experts and patient advocates
-Discover how stories and narrative can be used to move organizational safety cultures
-Leave with tools, teaching techniques and educational videos you can use immediately upon return to your organizations
Sessions will be held in destination locations that are easy to access, yet provide the same inspiring learning environment as our namesake–Telluride, CO. CE Credits will also be available for attendees. For answers, to additional questions please email: TTESupport@medstar.net.
